Apple is shaking up the tech world with Apple watches. Featuring three styles and price points, the Apple watch focuses on fitness while allowing you to send texts, make calls and use apps all from your wrist.
While 10 percent of the U.S. Internet users only access the Internet on mobile devices, the top 10 retailers are seeing more and more shoppers use only their smartphones to shop. Not surprising since Amazon doesn’t have a brick and mortar store, their 38 percent of mobile-only shoppers is small compared to Apple’s at 59 percent.
It’s no surprise more and more people are watching videos from their mobile devices, what is surprising is how quickly the trend is catching on. Mobile video consumption is up 16 times what it was in 2011. More than 38 percent of video plays occurred on smartphones and tablet devices.
While retail sales grew only 3.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014, eCommerce sales jumped 14.6 percent in the same quarter and continue to grow. Several retailers are reducing their physical presence to draw more attention to their online stores.
